- The initial burn on a candle is the most important. Make sure the melt pool reaches all sides of the candle before extinguishing the flame, otherwise tunneling can occur.
- If possible, let the melt pool always reach the sides of the candle to ensure it stays level, burns evenly, and reaches its full life expectancy.
- Never exceed 4 hours of burn time.
- Always trim your wicks to between 3/16" and 1/4" before every burn so that the candle does not burn faster than it should. This will also help keep debris out of the melt pool.
